ABOUT DEEPAK JOSHI

Deepak Joshi has over 30 years working in municipal government through progressively increasing responsibilities. Prior to 1987, Deepak owned and operated a private consulting company in the Information Technology field which provided services to both the private and the public sector in change management, systems development, training and provision of e-government services.Deepak is a strategic and results oriented executive with broad civic government experience and acknowledged leadership skills. He has extensive experience in communication, facilitation, conflict resolution and negotiations sensitive to the needs of government, corporate, and key community stakeholders.In his 27+ year career at the City of Winnipeg, Deepak has held various management positions, which have allowed him to provide operational leadership across the entire spectrum of civic business, and in the overall management of each City service. As the CAO he was responsible for the service delivery of a 969 million dollar operating and a 379 million dollar capital budget.A strong proponent of community engagement and human resource development as a catalyst for change. He has continued to develop strong relationships with the industry, community and government by working collaboratively and respecting roles of all parties.With broad civic government experience and proven track record in accepting ever increasing challenges and thriving on change with the goal of continuous improvement in personal development. Deepak’s leadership style is supportive and collaborative, with the focus on building strong working relationships that promotes innovation and entrepreneurship.
