I am a public policy and corporate affairs leader with over two decades of experience shaping regulatory strategy, driving government engagement, and strengthening institutional relationships to advance business priorities within India’s alcobev sector. Recently elevated to Director – Corporate Affairs (Public Policy & Federal Engagement) at Pernod Ricard India, I now lead federal‑level engagement and national policy initiatives from the company’s headquarters in Gurugram.Previously, as Senior Manager – External Affairs, I steered strategic affairs across North Zone 2—covering Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh. I managed a diverse portfolio of commercial and regulatory mandates, enabling brand introductions, facilitating EDP enhancements, securing multi‑tier approvals, and resolving complex compliance issues through sustained engagement with senior bureaucracy and government departments.My responsibilities also extended to defence and paramilitary channels (CSD/CPMF), where I streamlined excise procedures, strengthened operational governance, and improved supply chain integration. I led multiple regulatory initiatives, including Track & Trace execution, brand mapping, and corpus balance management, reinforcing regional compliance and operational efficiency.In public affairs, I headed a team focused on policy advocacy, strategic outreach, stakeholder relations, and media interface—enhancing Pernod Ricard’s visibility and strengthening its position within the regulatory ecosystem.My earlier role as State Head – Jammu & Kashmir (2012–2018) marked a defining phase of my career. I drove commercial expansion, launched BIO brands, built strong government and trade partnerships, and navigated one of India’s most sensitive regulatory environments—earning a Gold Medal from the Managing Director for exemplary leadership. In 2018, I transitioned to External Affairs in Chandigarh, deepening my expertise in government relations and policy strategy.I began my career with Shaw Wallace in the CSD division, managing key territories including Delhi Depot, Secunderabad, and Vizag. After joining Pernod Ricard India in 2003, I expanded my operational scope from four depots to thirteen, reflecting both the organization’s growth and my professional progression.Grounded in integrity, strategic foresight, and strong stakeholder engagement, I remain committed to shaping effective public policy frameworks and strengthening the organization’s long‑term regulatory and commercial resilience.
