About Deepak Mathaikutty

Deepak Mathaikutty is a Senior Principal Engineer of AI Systems & Solutions at Intel, and also serves as Senior Director leading Advanced Architecture Research of NPU IP for Intel Client Products. With over 18 years of experience at Intel, Deepak has consistently driven innovation across a broad spectrum of domains including CPU, GPU, FPGA, and ASIC. His expertise spans architecture, design, and pre/post-silicon validation, resulting in numerous IPs and product designs that have fueled Intel’s strategic growth. Deepak is a prolific inventor and researcher, holding more than 85+ patents and publishing over 70 papers in top-tier conferences such as MICRO, DAC, DATE, and ISSCC. His technical leadership and impact have been recognized with two Intel Achievement Awards—the company’s highest technical honor—alongside over 50 Divisional Recognition Awards and two Gordy Awards for innovation in research. He is also the author of the book Metamodeling-Driven IP Reuse for SoC Integration and Microprocessor Design (2009), which explores methodologies for scalable IP reuse in complex SoC environments.
