About Deepa Reddy Akula
I am a Real Estate investor and Multifamily Sponsor based in Seattle, WA. I am a General Partner for over 1500 apartment units and a Limited Partner for over 1800 units. I was introduced to the incredible world of Real Estate Investing when I was looking for an investment vehicle for our family\'s savings when I was working as an Engineer. I started investing passively in apartment communities, fell in love with the concept, and transitioned into working in real estate full-time. I focus on identifying and investing in high-performing real estate assets and am passionate about financial literacy and creating multiple passive investment streams for my investors. I am a licensed Professional Civil/Structural Engineer and served as a peer reviewer for the American Society of Civil Engineers’ Journal of Structural Engineering and the Society of Wood Science and Technology\'s Wood and Fibre Science Journal. My background as an engineer and peer reviewer helps me concentrate on the details as well as see the big picture for the apartment communities we acquire. Engineers are very conservative in designing structures, and I bring the same philosophy to underwriting apartment communities too.
