ABOUT DEEPA SENAPATHI
I am an ecologist interested in the impacts of environmental change on biodiversity and ecosystem services. My research focus on the impacts of climate change and land use change on populations, species and communities of conservation concern. I have worked on avian populations and insect pollinator communities in both temperate & tropical systems. More recently I have begun to explore ecological intensification within small holder communities to enhance biodiversity and improve livelihoods.I also work on knowledge exchange with different stakeholder communities including policy makers, non-government organisations, delivery agencies and land managers with a view towards enhancing land management for biodiversity conservation and improving ecosystem servicesExpertise in: Ecological modelling, GIS and remote sensing, ecological field work, managing field teams, data collection and data analysis.
