About Deepa Rakesh

I’m an Electrical and Computer Science Engineering undergraduate at VIT Chennai, driven by a strong interest in understanding technology at a fundamental level and expressing ideas with clarity and intent. I approach learning with curiosity and structure, focusing on building a solid technical foundation while exploring how engineering and creativity intersect.Alongside academics, I work as a designer with the SELECT Department (School of Electrical Engineering) at VIT Chennai, contributing to visual creatives for departmental events, magazines, and initiatives. I’m also actively involved with student organizations such as the Magadh Mithila Club (MMC) and the Fraternity of Young Innovators (FYI), where I collaborate with diverse teams on design and communication-related work.Through my coursework and practical learning, I’ve developed a solid foundation in core areas such as digital electronics, circuit theory, semiconductors, and control systems. Alongside this, I work with programming languages including C, Java, and Python, and have hands-on exposure to embedded C programming and hardware description languages like Verilog/VHDL. These experiences have helped me build comfort with both logical problem-solving and system-level thinking.I’ve also gained early exposure to research through a summer research internship at VIT Chennai, where I worked under faculty guidance and developed an understanding of research-oriented problem solving, technical documentation, and structured exploration of engineering concepts.I value depth, consistency, and continuous learning, and I’m interested in environments that encourage thoughtful collaboration and long-term growth across technology and design.
