ABOUT DEEPA NAGARAJAPPA

I’ve spent over 12 years ensuring software doesn’t just work - it works reliably before it ever reaches the people who depend on it. I started my career at National Instruments in India, building a strong foundation in test automation for real-time embedded systems. Early on, I learned something many QA engineers discover too late: effective testing isn’t just about finding bugs - it’s about understanding a product deeply enough to anticipate where it will fail. That mindset carried into biopharma. At Sartorius Stedim Biotech, I focused on software validation for bioprocessing equipment, where defects have real-world consequences beyond a Jira ticket. I gained experience working within strict compliance frameworks, collaborating across teams, and delivering under high-pressure release cycles without compromising quality. Today, at DNA Script, I contribute to software quality for enzymatic DNA synthesis technology — a unique intersection of biology and engineering. Every release demands precision, traceability, and robust software testing coverage.
