Thank you for visiting my profile.I am Deepa Hariharan, a chartered accountant by profession and a writer by passion.Started my post qualification career working for Towers Watson (WTW) through Aditya Birla Minacs as a pension fund accountant for three years.Joined the Indian general insurance industry in 2015 in the financial reporting team of ICICI Lombard. I was grateful to gain experience working on financials during IPO process till September 2017.Post which was part of Liberty general insurance in regulatory reporting domain for brief duration which helped me gain exposure at transactional level working on system issues and reconciliations, closures of premium and claim registers, working on profitability decks for management and peer analysis.Have been associated with Magma HDI since sep 2018 starting off in financial planning and analysis domain and gaining varied in depth exposures working on management reporting, financial budgeting and 5 year planning, income and expense budgeting, forecasting and simulations, FCR budget simulations, profitability analysis, peer standing, due diligences, erp implementation, compensation and benefits, learning and development activities and also financial reporting.IFRS17 trainer for finance, actuarial, IT teams and senior management of insurance companies and ifrs 17 faculty with Insurance Institute of India.I am a published author of historical fiction novella *Princesses Recall* since June 2021, accepted by National Library of India and awarded Literary Award by Global Literary Summit presented by Aesthetics International in August 2022. I have published my book of poems “Chaotic to Poetic Ehsaas” in February 2023.At KPMG India, I have been working on IFRS 17 / Ind AS 117 implementations and IFRS 17 audits for both life, general, health and reinsurance companies in India and abroad since last 3 years. I have also been part of cost efficiency projects for insurance sector.Looking forward to a consistent bright future in finance domain ahead. Learning, unlearning & relearning is the motto. Experienced in pensions accounting, life and general insurance sector financial reporting and FP & A. I believe there are no locational barriers and I am willing to relocate to explore global work environment as well. Grateful.
