As the CEO and founding principal of Building & Earth Sciences, Deepa Bhate brings 29 years of business experience specific to consulting engineering. Her day-to-day role at the company takes two directions: executive leadership and client relations. Ms. Bhate heads strategic planning, leadership development and cash flow allocation. Business development, proposals and reviewing then negotiating contracts are among her administrative roles. Ms. Bhate is also experienced in the direction of field and laboratory testing services, where she has supervised a staff of engineers and construction materials testing technicians. Away from the office, Ms. Bhate focuses on building strategic relationships within the commercial building industry, giving her the unique ability to understand and anticipate client needs. This often includes problem solving and organically establishing matches among developers, architects, engineers and construction decision makers. Ms. Bhate is an active part of the professional community and is currently serving as a board member for the Association of Building Contractor\'s Alabama Chapter. She also maintains longstanding memberships with the National Association Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and the International Council of Shopping Center Developers (ICSC).
