ABOUT DEEDA LOVETT
Deeda leads three hyperlocal editions of Community Impact Newspaper in Austin and Dripping Springs, TX. Community Impact Newspaper is vested in the communities it serves and has dedicated reporters in each area who attend city council and school board meetings. It is among the first to report on local business, transportation, education and health care. Prior to joining Community Impact Newspaper, Deeda served her community as a television news anchor and reporter in Oklahoma and Texas - most recently at CBS Austin. Deeda serves on the marketing committee for the United Way for Greater Austin. She is an active member of the Austin Chamber of Commerce and Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce. Deeda has also served as board member, emcee, panelist or guest speaker for several community organizations including the Austin Young Chamber, The Austin Alliance for Women in Media, The American Heart Association, Capitol of Texas Rotary Club, The Rotary Club of Austin and the West Austin Rotary Club.
