I\'ve loved the power utility world ever since I\'ve had a memory. I was perhaps 3 years old, hadn\'t started formal schooling yet. and I wanted to go work at the power plant with my dad. When I was informed by my dad\'s colleagues that I needed to be an engineer to go with them, I remember hollering back from my mom\'s arms \"Engineer? You got it!\"I am an Energy engineer with two decades of utility and power industry experience. I currently work on advanced engines at Blue Origin. Previously, I worked to power Data Centers at AWS. I developed the region strategy, negotiated and executed all the agreements. After that came the deep-dive into the technical details to bring power to that new site. I remained the ongoing point-of-contact for all utility related issues, and events. Pre-AWS, I\'ve worked in many facets of the power industry. I worked in engineering, design, installation, and maintenance of power generation equipment including coal, hydro, wind, single-cycle and combined-cycle gas turbines. I have been an experienced people manager, planning work schedules, managing budgets, coordinating partners and vendors, preparing technical/ engineering/ compliance reports. I\'ve worked to save energy for large commercial customers through demand management, operations and maintenance strategies, including site energy audits, and consumption data analysis.
