About Dee Latiolais

My passion for serving seniors began early in life—sitting at the card table playing Canasta with my grandmother and her friends. What started as childhood fun grew into a lifelong calling. For more than 25 years, I have been devoted to supporting older adults and the families who love them.In 2009, I began my professional journey in Assisted Living and Memory Care, where I discovered my true passion: guiding families through some of life’s most difficult decisions for a parent, spouse, or loved one. Today, I continue that mission as a Community Liaison with Home Instead, providing compassionate home care solutions and trusted support.My commitment to service extends well beyond my professional role. I am proud to serve as Treasurer for BACA (Bay Area Community Assistance). Previously, I served four years as a board member with CAP of Pearland (Community Assistance Providers), two years on the Steering Committee for the Brazoria County Alzheimer’s Awareness Project, and as a board member of the United Way Elder Services Provider Network (EPSN) in Houston.When I’m not advocating for seniors, I’m giving back in another meaningful way—volunteering with Houston Area Doberman Rescue, where I have proudly served as a board member for 12 years. Mike and I also volunteer with Caffeinated Canine Rescue. One of my most cherished roles was as part of a registered Pet Therapy Team. Alongside my late Doberman, Bella, I visited memory care communities, nursing homes, and rehabilitation hospitals, sharing comfort, joy, and plenty of smiles.I have been happily married to the love of my life, Mike, for 38 years. Together we enjoy fishing, boating, ballroom dancing, and life with our beloved dogs—Chica Chica Boom Boom, Niko Suave, and Sally O’Malley.
