About Dennis E. D.

My name is Den, and I have a love for information technology because I believe in leveraging it to make life better for everyone as well as our planet. I am enthusiastic about making a difference in the realm of cybersecurity, so that we can embrace technology securely. With a solid foundation in technical realms and organizational leadership, I have spent my career honing the skills needed to protect critical assets and empower people. I work for the greatest technology company on the planet – Microsoft. I started as a FastTrack Architect Corporate Fellow, where I guide USG and DIB enterprise customers through their cloud transformation journey, ensuring a secure transition to a hybrid work environment by providing strategic technical direction, and focusing on security technologies. I became a full-time employee as a FastTrack Engineer where I plan, architect, and deliver complex infrastructure deployments and migrations for the same customers, collaborating closely with various teams to ensure seamless transitions to Microsoft solutions. Presently, I am a FastTrack Productivity SME where I provide best practices and technical guidance to customers, help them translate business goals into technology solutions, and enable them to implement Microsoft technologies to achieve business objectives. Beyond technical aspects, my commitment to cybersecurity extends to fostering a culture of excellence and a growth mindset. I passionately believe in the power of adaptive cross-functional teams, diversity of thought, and the power of diverse cultures aligning organizational objectives with a shared mission to empower customers. I had the privilege of serving our country in the USMC for 20+ years. During that time, I worked with a wide range of DoD and USG agencies on initiatives like building and refining information security organizations, technical program management, and leading tactical threat hunt teams. This taught me the importance of adaptability and staying ahead of the evolving cybersecurity/information security landscapes, as they never stop advancing. To continue serving, I have a passion for assisting future veterans in their transition from military service to civilian careers. I was fortunate to have amazing mentors guide me, and my forever goal is to pay it forward at every opportunity. I am excited to connect with like-minded professionals who share a passion for cybersecurity, leadership, and together fortify our digital world. 🤝
