Protect. Educate. Empower. As founder and president of African Soul, American Heart, it is my great privilege to have a hand in changing the lives of orphaned girls from South Sudan who would otherwise face a life of forced marriage at puberty, early and dangerous childbirth, illiteracy and poverty, and in the last few years ongoing civil war. ASAH currently serves 49 students from six villages in Duk County. Our mission is to Protect, Educate and Empower our students. We protect them from forced marriage, disease, and the dangers of war. We Educate them in school subjects and practical life skills. And we Empower them to be leaders and give back to their communities. The ASAH girls will change their world.
