With a Honours Degree and Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences, a minor in Economics and Statistics, Honours Master of Arts in Monitoring and Evaluation, Advanced Diploma in Data Science and Applications, trained Software Engineer and years of experience in industry and education, I am a trained critical thinker and problem solver and able to connect the theoretical to the practical in a way. I have the ability to take a complex problem and break it down into manageable and understandable pieces. I am fascinated to know and understand how things work and how to apply that knowledge elsewhere.I am passionate about tackling real-world problems and am relentless in my pursuit of finding a solution to any problem I encounter - and not just any solution, but the best solution. No matter what the job or task, I am committed to performing with excellence, even when no one is watching.I have a strong personal conviction to always add value to the people and organizations around me. I strive to become as efficient as I can be, no matter the task. However, I am never afraid to admit when I am wrong, when I am unsure, or when I need help.I am comfortable working on my own, as well as working in a team. I believe everyone offers a unique skill set and should be encouraged to use those skills to help wherever possible. I try my best to identify these strengths and leverage them to achieve our common goal or objectives.I approach every challenge with enthusiasm and will be one of the first to dive head first into the challenge. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty, so to speak, and I am also not afraid to make some mistakes in order to find a way to overcome each challenge.I value work-life balance. I am grateful of my job, but I absolutely cherish and love my family and friends. I believe a healthy balance of work and personal life is one of the keys to my success and do my best to maintain this balance within reason.Lastly, I am a life-long learner.
