ABOUT DECLAN ALLEN

I have spent more than 30 years working across the automotive and technology sectors, holding senior leadership roles in engineering consultancies and motorsport. For the past decade I have led the development and growth of HORIBA MIRA, supporting customers with advanced vehicle engineering, testing and technology integration.Today my focus is broader. As President, UK & Ireland for HORIBA, I lead the coordination and development of HORIBA’s activities across the region, bringing together the capabilities of multiple UK businesses to better serve customers and the wider HORIBA Group.The UK is a uniquely strong location within HORIBA, combining expertise across engineering, product development, advanced instrumentation, software, and testing, brought together through environments such as MIRA Tech Park, an inspiring, collaborative location that enables integrated engineering and technology development. My role is centred on connecting these capabilities so we can deliver integrated solutions and create greater value for customers. This includes aligning our services, strengthening collaboration across businesses, and identifying opportunities to apply our technologies in new markets. A key focus is helping customers optimise and improve their processes through advanced measurement, analysis and real-time optimisation. While automotive remains an important foundation, we are also expanding our presence in sectors such as water, life sciences, healthcare and other emerging areas where HORIBA technologies can make a meaningful impact. Throughout my career I have believed that strong performance comes from great teams with a clear purpose. By bringing together the skills and capabilities that exist across HORIBA in the UK, we are building a stronger platform for innovation, growth and long-term value for our customers and partners.
