ABOUT DECLAN LIM
I am a fourth year student at the University of Toronto, pursuing a Specialist in Computer Science (Co-Op) with a Minor in Linguistics. My academic and personal journey spans multiple countries, having previously studied in the United Kingdom and Singapore, and served in the Singapore Armed Forces. Currently, I work part-time at Deep Genomics as a Machine Learning Intern, where I\'m developing tools and machine learning models to accelerate and automate discovery workflows in computational biology. Previously, as an Applied Data Science Intern at the same company, I built bioinformatics tools to interpret complex genomic data and generate insights supporting novel drug target discovery. I\'m passionate about creating computational solutions for real-world problems, especially at the intersection of technology, biology and language. I aim to leverage machine learning, data science, and software engineering to uncover insights and develop tools that advance research and innovation in genomics and beyond.
