I worked with the Business Development team assisting on a range of Merger and Acquisition projects. The work included understanding the fundamentals of the business, including locations, margins, freight, supply and demand, risk management and trading. I reviewed financial statements looking at Profit and Loss, balance sheets, cash flow and discounted cash flow analysis. Research on potential target companies was my main project along with the production of financial models in excel and presentations in PowerPoint. Observed the Trading Floor, included learning about the trading of commodities and logistics of the products bought.
