As part of program staff, my primary responsiblities are to teach creative writing in the \"I am art. I am change.\" Apprenticeship program and to initiate year one of our Apprenticeship Alumni Program. My focus as a creative writing teaching artist is to prepare my students for careers and side hustles as professional writers, which includes exploring all writing genres and mediums of art, developing project managment skills through group work and collaboration, and building an understanding of personal beliefs, motivations, strengths, and community resources. With the Apprenticeship program in it\'s fourth year, I have been tasked with leading the first year of our Alumni programming, which includes surveying all Elevated Thought graduates of the last three years, coordinating Alumni community building events and Life Skills Workshops, and developing more sustainable programs to support Alumni career development.
