ABOUT DEBS TAYLOR
I have over 30 years experience within the health sector, with 8 years as a deputy managing director for a health and well-being trust. I also have over 30 years of experience as a first aider in the workplace and as a trainer delivering a wide range of various subjects. Following spinal surgery in 2019, I decided to change my career path to focus on training. I have a ‘Teaching in Education Award’ and I am also a qualified ‘Advanced First Aid Instructor’ who can deliver a full range of nationally accredited adult and paediatric first aid courses. In addition to this, I am a verified instructor as part of a ‘Super Medics’ programme teaching essential life saving skills to children in key stage 2. I also deliver the the ‘FAA Level 2 Award in Student First Aid (RQF)’ to students in key stage 3 and 4, which meets and exceeds the new national curriculum guidelines that were introduced in September 2020. I’m also a qualified ‘First Aid Instructor for Mental Health’ and a ‘Safeguarding’ Instructor. I’ve been a Samaritans volunteer for over 20 years and I’m also part of the British Red Cross and St John voluntary teams.
