She is the author of the forthcoming A DEVIL WENT DOWN TO GEORGIA (Aug. 6, 2024, Pegasus Books), a true crime dazzler about the 1987 murder of an Atlanta socialite. She has written for several magazines, including Forbes, National Geographic Traveler, Atlanta Magazine–and is the author of a dozen Lonely Planet travel guides. She\'s worked as a producer for CNN, taught magazine writing at the University of Oregon, and been anthologized in Best American Crime Writing. Deb is a collaborative, scrappy communicator, an ardent embracer of diverse perspectives, and a champion for inclusion and equity at all levels.
