Acrylic Painting - this media appeals to those who enjoy oil painting and watercolor with some advantage from both. I taught classes in acrylic at both Ann Arbor Rec & Ed and the Ann Arbor Art Association in the past, and most recently taught a six week landscape workshop for the Ypsilanti District Library. My second term offering this has a full class and the students have a wide range of experience.Beginning Watercolor - I\'ve taught watercolor at all levels too many students to count for over 20 years. It\'s still exciting to see them discover the magic of this medium and how much is possible. learning is good for the brain and many older students are thrilled to finally have or make time for art. Did you know county residents over 65 can take classes for free? Continuing (Intermediate and Advanced) Watercolor - takes it up a notch with subjects including water scenes, portraits and animals. I have students taking this many times as they continue to grow as artists, enjoy new challenges, studio time, my demos, and one anther\'s company and insights. Holiday Cards- a short course combining watercolor and collage and creative uses for bits of old paintings. I\'ve made fro myself and selects client since i was an undergrad. Hand made book workshops and short sessions are a blast. I can help you build a mini pamphlet, an intriguing accordion book, or design one with a unique shape. I\'ve led one hour workshops at the Kerrytown Book Festivals, and exhibited my out of the box books at area libraries and galleries. Examples are on my website. Collage - cut and paste pictures using fancy papers, photos, and found objects.this class was a blast Winter term. So many creativity stretching ideas and inspiring artists as examples. Illustration - I\'ve enjoyed teaching this course with lots of practical applications. It will showcase the works of many influential illustrators as well This term I am busy illustrating a couple children\'s books.
