   Research, write, study and teach all fields of U.S. history with a focus on African American women’s legal and extralegal resistance of enslavement and institutional racism and sexism during Slavery, the Reconstruction Era and early 20th centuries. Directly advised by renowned, award-winning faculty.• Create and present lectures on U.S. history focusing on Transatlantic Slavery, the U.S. Reconstruction Era and African American Women’s history to large undergraduate classes. • Develop and lead detailed discussions of undergraduate students on complex issues of Colonial, Slavery and Reconstruction Era U.S. History, as well as manage and address students’ academic assessments and questions of the material. • Interface and collaborate with leading historians and legal academics from universities across the country including University of Southern California, Columbia and Yale Universities.• Research and write extensive papers on 19th and 20th century U.S history, Material and Visual culture and African American literature.
