ABOUT DEBORAH OYEYEMI WALTON
Dr. Deborah Oyeyemi Walton (née Oyeyemi) is an internist and aging researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles. She graduated with distinction in Psychology-Neuroscience from Yale University, received her medical degree from Duke, and completed primary care internal medicine residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. As a former investigator with the Connecticut Older Adult Collaboration for Health (COACH), she researches dementia caregiver network changes and how contextual factors impact older adult dementia outcomes.Dr. Oyeyemi Walton has also demonstrated her passion for public health and community service beyond research. She previously served on the board of New Haven County Medical Association and has carried several institutional roles related to trainee and faculty recruitment and retention.
