PortsToronto owns and operates Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, the Port of Toronto and Toronto\'s Outer Harbour Marina. PortsToronto was incorporated in as a government business enterprise under the Canada Marine Act and is accountable to the Federal Government through Transport Canada. PortsToronto works with all three levels of government in areas such as transportation infrastructure, operations and sustainability.•Reporting to the President and CEO, I am responsible for planning, developing and implementing effective communications strategies and public affairs programs that will increase awareness of PortsToronto, its activities, and its position on key issues that affect stakeholders and the community at large.•This portfolio includes media relations, public affairs and government relations, issues management, crisis communications, marketing, advertising, research, internal communications, corporate communications, sponsorship management and community and stakeholder relations. •Communication activities associated with the corporate Sustainability Program also falls within this role and includes developing the reporting framework and tactics for communicating corporate goals and initiatives.
