Performing technical analysis, documentation, and I/T related tasks in direct support of the air traffic operation. Provide fact-finding and investigative techniques, oral and written communications, and development of technical documents, presentations and reports. Evaluate operational and support computer program functions as they apply to air traffic operational requirements.Responsible for evaluating software release documents to determine how the software will behave and how it will interact with other related systems. Review and evaluate Program Technical Reports (PTR) and program improvements to determine their impact of functional, diagnostic, and support software. Responsible for translating a combination of software processes and air traffic control procedures into working documents that explains how to utilize software to provide air traffic services in a live air traffic environment. Provide technical assistance to operational personnel to resolve system malfunctions. Test En Route ATC automation systems to assure that maximum effectiveness is achieved and that data is processed in a precise and timely manner. On and on; you get the idea. I provide technical support to air traffic for all things \"next gen\". This position capitalizes on my LM background in Systems Integration, Integration & Test and Test & Training. It also utilizes my business and project management training to optimize both in-house as well as future software capabilities. My primary areas of support include ERAM & ATOP, evolving into DataComm and other projects brought to ATO by LM.
