About Deborah Oster Pannell

My primary work right now is managing C24 Gallery. In this position, I work closely with the Director & Curator to produce and promote a full calendar of Gallery exhibitions, art fairs and other related programming, with a focus on building strong relationships with our artists and collectors as well as the creative community at large. As a writer and editor, I work collaboratively with clients to bring their vision to life, helping to articulate and clarify their messaging. As with most written content, communication is key. I’ve spent many years in client facing and managerial positions, refining the subtle arts of diplomatic problem solving and constructive criticism. Fundamental experience in the performing arts has also given me a healthy appreciation for improvisation (aka iteration) and an intuitive understanding of the agile development cycle. I bring this awareness into my participation in creative projects, strategic branding and marketing campaigns. Independently, I curate and host art exhibits, panel discussions, spoken word events and community forums. I am most gratified when working across conventional boundaries that tend to divide us, bringing together people of different backgrounds, orientations and disciplines. Although I am adept at working in the digital world, I find it equally if not more important, to connect with one another in real life. Perhaps most importantly, I am committed to developing a strong network of creative, humane, forward thinking individuals, who understand the need for global sensibilities and sensitivities, a more nuanced way of communicating with one another, and a more loving way of sharing the planet.
