ABOUT DEBORAH MEISTER

For over 15 years, I\'ve designed learning experiences that move people from knowledge to application, in spaces where work shapes lives and communities. Whether that\'s teachers implementing new instructional strategies, emerging leaders stepping into their potential, or executive teams navigating complex change, I care about helping people do important work well.I\'m passionate about creating the conditions where adults grow: building psychologically safe spaces, asking powerful questions, and designing systems that make professional development actually stick. My career has been particularly focused on supporting the advancement of people from historically marginalized backgrounds and creating equitable pathways to opportunity.My approach is solutions-focused, informed by data, driven towards equity, and rooted in our shared humanity. I combine rigorous adult learning principles with relationship-building that makes growth feel possible. I\'m skilled at designing cohort-based learning programs that drive behavior change in diverse settings, building coaching models that generate demand, and facilitating environments where people feel both challenged and supported to do their best work.Currently serving as an Instructional Coach at Pittsburg Unified School District, Board Chair at ARISE High School in Oakland, and coaching independent clients across sectors. Always open to conversations about instructional leadership, coaching, and learning that advance equity and excellence.Based in the San Francisco Bay Area with roots in Costa Rica. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
