WORK HISTORY
Executive Director @Hospitality Homes
Boston, MA, US
Hospitality Homes provides free and low cost short-term housing in volunteer host homes and donated accommodations for patients, families, and caregivers who travel to Boston from all around the country and the world for specialized medical care. Any hospital, any diagnosis, any age, any ethnicity, religion or gender identity. Our approach – grounded by over 150 volunteers who open their homes to guests each year – provides much-needed relief from the emotional and financial challenges of medical treatment, helping families to stay together during some of the most critical and challenging times in their lives. The majority of our services are provided at no cost, through partnerships with generous hosts, support from donors, and collaborations with hospitals, businesses and institutions. Many guests report that without our program, they simply would not be able to access the life-saving care they need. While COVID has impacted us and limited our options, we have navigated it artfully and provided close to 7600 nights of stay in 2020 - our most ever - and have already surpassed that number in 2021. Think about becoming a part of this special organization as a donor, volunteer host, board member or partner.
