About Deborah Ortiz

Currently employed by the US EPA Region 4 where I enforce laws that govern pesticides, herbicides disinfectants rodenticides, antimicrobials and disinfectants. I\'m a Chemist by degree and an activist in the realms of STEM education for underrepresented youth, the environment and equity. As a former Senior Research Analyst at Accura, I write reports for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) which include business, environmental and property records in an effort to identify parties associated with the contamination at a Superfund site. I also have experience in Hazardous Waste and Biomedical Waste Management, STEM policy, Teaching College Chemistry and Environmental Science, as well as tutoring College and High school Chemistry, Physics and Math.
