I am an experienced divorce attorney with a CPA and business appraiser background. I dedicate my practice to settling divorce cases after thoroughly reviewing the marital estate and ensuring that all values are correct and circumstances are properly evaluated. Divorce is primarily about money and finances. There are a multitude of tax consequences that should be considered in making decisions about how to distribute assets. In addition there may be valuation issues that must be considered. All consequences will be different depending upon a person\'s age and background. With 30+ years of legal experience and 40 years of financial expertise I promise to assist you in obtaining a fair settlement. For the stay-at-home mother I can assist you in finding hidden assets and hidden income. For the business owner I can assist you to avoid having to meet unduly burdensome document requests by knowing what is relevant and what is not. Custody is about children and their emotional well-being. I am myself a divorce survivor whose children were 8 and 12. They are both now young professionals but we all have scars that I would like to help you avoid. I was previously a custody mediator for the Allegheny County Family Division and a member of the Western Pennsylvania Mediation Council. I am a graduate of Gestalt Training for Professionals, a two year course of intensive psychology training which enables me to deal with the emotional issues associated with divorce and custody matters. I have recently been invited to become a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and have been selected to the 2016 list as a member of the Nation\'s Top One Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. When necessary I am a determined negotiator and a very hard-nosed litigator. View my website for some informative videos at and my blog on Tumblr at PaFamilyLaw.

I am also aware of the personal deductions that business owners run through their business and don\'t need to hire an expert to determine these amounts which generally saves you fees. I was also a business appraiser who testified in court on behalf of both business owners and dependent spouses regarding the value of a closely held business as well as income available for support. Divorce is mainly about money and finances. It is important that a closely-held business be fairly valued. It is also important that if alimony is an issue that it be computed in a fair manner using realistic numbers. I am unique because of my financial expertise.
