I lead all day-to-day legal initiatives for this private ed tech and am a regular and active participant at all board meetings. I established ANet’s data privacy and security compliance program, including leading the firm’s first Data Security Working Group to oversee a new compliance program and respond to data security issues, negotiations with school District partners and third-party assessment vendors. Additionally, I created policies and procedures to ensure compliance with best practices and applicable laws, and a company-wide employee data security training program.To enable more private foundation donors to contribute to the firm to help drive its mission, I led the conversion of the firm from a private foundation to a public charity. As General Counsel, I handle all litigation in-house including all administrative agency complaints.
