   Currently manages the historic structures and historic preservation division for Environmental Research Group. Supervises staff consisting of historians, architectural historians, historic architects, photographers, and interns located in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Texas, Norman, Oklahoma, and Las Cruces, New Mexico.Deborah has 36 years of experience in cultural resources investigations, architectural history, military history, and historic preservation management. She has completed more than Section 106 and NEPA projects in multiple states, documented more than state inventory forms, prepared CRMPS, INCRMPS, and prepared HABS/HAER documentations. Her expertise includes preparing National Register nominations, advising municipalities on community interpretation, main street design, evaluating investment tax credits, interpreting preservation law, archival documentation, and large format photography. She has conducted projects for State Historic Preservation Offices (SHPOs) and federal agencies (ACOE, FHWA, FTA, FRA, BOR, BLM, USFS, DoD and DoE), and has worked throughout the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. She meets the Secretary of Interior’s standards for history and architectural history and is TxDOT pre-certified under categories 2.7.1, 2.7.2, 2.15.1, and 2.15.2.Deborah has also served as an expert witness on preservation law, architecture and cultural resources.She has developed and conducted various public workshops and has been the keynote speaker at several conferences presenting the federal guidelines of preservation, restoration of buildings and educational programs for children.
