My Experience began as a direct support provider working with developementally delayed.I became a Residential Advisor in a group home with three adult women clients. Overseeing staffing needs,scheduling program implementation tx plans, Responsible for household management. I lived full time in the Group home while attending college and working a part time customer service position. Once licensed as a COTA my experience includes pediatrics to geriatrics- home health, sub acute, psychiatric, dual diagnosis,hospice and Long term care. I have Five years of Management experience as a Program. Providing 30 years experience in human service/healthcare. A Former Program Director for a Rehabilitation Department in LTC facility for 5 years, I have expertise in dementia care and psychiatric disabilities and dual diagnosis co-morbidities. I am a life time student. I am passionate about Dementia care. I wish to pursue advocating and actively increase knowledge. A need exists in our communities for increased resources and education regarding aging and mental help. The desired outcome, to assist those indiviuals and families who suffer silently with depression and memory impairment. Helping someone to discover there is hope.
