I previously led the 130-person division responsible for major components of Shopify’s developer platform, where I reset leadership, clarified charters, established an AI-first direction, and improved delivery performance and cohesion across teams.Before Shopify, I spent five years at Amazon as Director for Dash Cart and Amazon Go hardware. I built the Boston R&D center, originated the Dash Cart architecture, led a dual-site organization of ~140 engineers, and defined the path to a low-cost, large-format checkout-free system.Earlier in my career, I founded and led multiple companies (four CEO roles) including Building Machines, where we achieved validated 70% cost reduction and 7–9× conversion-cost improvement in structural concrete automation. I have also shipped zero-to-one platforms in mobile video (MobiTV), media infrastructure (AMFM), AI-driven broadcast personalization (Assemble Media), and pre-smartphone mobile applications (Skyward).My differentiator is combining invention (100+ patents) with large-scale organizational and P&L leadership. I design architectures that simplify complexity, reduce cost structures, and enable teams to move faster — then rebuild the operating model around those principles to generate EBITDA and long-term value.
