Business Context & Challenge:Oracle is major player in the cloud business. One of the challenges faced by cloud service providers is service unavailability (LSE). This leads to Financial, Market positioning, Competitive disadvantage & Customer Trust. I proposed a plan to build an automated failure detection mechanism, where services would stream their health data to us and we would built a detection logic on the top of that. Also, this service would incorporate hardware location tracing capability making it even more impactful.Actions & Outcome: Put up a hiring strategy & built the team from ground. Effectively managed stakeholders & made sure that agreed goals are achieved despite technical and re-org challenges. Designed & deployed solution globally, resulting incident response from reactive to proactive and automatic identification and reporting of issues.
