   Administered KrakenD API Gateway (Community Edition) in Red Hat OpenShift production environment, isolating clients from the microservice implementation details and implementing security features such as JWT validation and mTLS, traffic management using Endpoint Rate Limit and monitoring using Prometheus & Grafana.• Leveraged IBM KeyProtect KMS SaaS to provision and store keys using FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certified hardware security modules (HSMs). These keys were used to encrypt IBM provided Block and Ceph RBD storages in Red Hat OpenShift, thus ensuring all production databases are using custom managed encryption.• Written bash scripts to automate various administrative tasks like periodically backing up databases (MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Weaviate, Milvus) into IBM Cloud Object Storage, renew LetsEncrypt TLS certificate in Kubernetes cert-manager, and send expiry alerts of various domains to respective Stakeholders and SysAdmins.• Performed critical production deployments on Red Hat OpenShift using helm charts with negligible downtime. • Managed monitoring tools like Grafana and Prometheus to observe metrices of live applications and trigger alerts when CPU/Memory are overconsumed. • Administered activities including setting up resource quota, limit range, managing Kubernetes resource scaling based on workload, IAM Management,troubleshooting etc.• Administered various security related tasks like Kubernetes Network Policies, IAM policies on IBM Cloud, Kubernetes RBAC etc.• Leveraged PgBouncer, an open-source, lightweight, single-binary connection pooler for PostgreSQL, which reduced the load and improved the query performance on PostgreSQL dramatically.• Worked with developers in writing efficient Dockerfiles by following best practices such as minimizing layers, using a.dockerignore file, selecting a smaller base image, avoiding unnecessary file copies, using multi-stage builds, and leveraging caching.
