As a result, student attendance and interest in courses beyond English increased 87% in one semester.• Leadership role in promoting intuitive and individualized skills in students transitioning from college to university by development of knowledge management, research and advanced learning retention skill sets. Worked with students individually to overcome learning obstacles, structure effective retention strategies and negotiate grade assessment value. Resulted in high percentage of matriculation.• Played a pivotal role in curriculum development and design: assigned leadership roles to underrepresented and nontraditional student groups. Using community resources, implemented tutoring and mentor programs where these students took a leadership role in helping other students succeed.
