So, I became a teacher. I started teaching in the Cleveland Public Schools right after I got married. It was stressful, and most nights I brought work home. After I had my two kids, I knew I needed a change. I left the public schools and followed my children through their own schooling. I really loved teaching in a small private school – I loved my students, my fellow teachers, the parents. I loved most putting on fundraising productions when I taught small groups of students dance numbers. There wasn’t much money left to put aside for retirement. And I was so busy helping others, I couldn\'t address it. When my children entered high school, I decided to focus on me. At the end of the day. I needed my own plan.I chose the financial advisory industry because it was the best way to learn for myself how to solve my own problems and help others at the same time.I started by helping both public and private school teachers set up plans to help themselves and their families. Teachers are pulled in many directions – they help and give of themselves all day long, and then they take care of their own families when they get home. I was glad to take the financial piece off their shoulders. When my mom passed away in 2016, I realized the of what I was doing. My mom was a smart, savvy, accomplished Real Estate Agent. You could feel the room light up when she walked in and everyone in our community knew her.When the housing bubble burst in 2004, and then the recession in 2008, my mom’s finances were devastated. It devastated her personally, too. And it was too late by that time to fix things. My heart ached as I watched my strong, confident Mom turn to and rely on her children and the government to get by each month. And like a spouse. My PATH process focuses on you - your goals, priorities, plans, and values. I am passionate about helping women feel, knowing they can.
