   The Emergency Response Team (EMR) aims to reduce suffering, disease, and death in countries affected by natural disasters and complex emergencies. In addition to responding directly to emergencies, we work to help improve the speed and performance of first responders in the first critical hours of an emergency. We also invest in strengthening the ability of first responders, their organizations, and local institutions to help communities prepare for and cope with future shocks.Our Program Assistant role provides both administrative and organizational support to the Deputy Director of EMR and the EMR team. The PA provides a key function working closely with our team to develop the overall team rhythm of business and executing a variety of activities that impact the entire team-Schedule a high volume of appointments and meetings by managing complex calendars of participants, both internal and external to the foundation, across time zones-Lead logistics and travel coordination for events, such as convenings, meetings, retreats, conferences, and presentations, such as liaising with the Events Team, visa support for participants, and preparation and dissemination of materials, and supply management-Work in partnership with the AOSIM to develop the overall team rhythm of business and execute a variety of activities that have an impact across the entire team-Maintain file organization, team site, data and records, and a system for tracking, monitoring, and prioritizing tasks and projects-Support knowledge management efforts, particularly surrounding document management using foundation-approved solutions and guidelines-Partner with the leadership team to achieve team goals and create deliverables, as needed-Play an active role in the development of team culture, team building, and team leadership.
