WORK HISTORY
Managing Director @Young Enterprise
Many girls and women stop participating in sport or feel restricted during their period, not due to ability, but because of stigma, cultural expectations, discomfort, or simply not having a practical way to carry what they need. As a team of women with lived experience, we understood this problem firsthand.Neorla was founded with the aim of raising period awareness and challenging the stigma surrounding menstruation, particularly for young women and girls. As a team from an all-girls school, our work is shaped by lived experience. We understand how inconvenient and uncomfortable it can feel having to discreetly carry period products, often having to take bags to toilets or step away from outdoor activities. Our flagship product is a arm sleeve with built-in storage, intentionally designed to hold period essentials such as pads and tampons while on the move, however our product is versatile and can be used to hold any small accessories. To promote the future of sustainability, our cup sleeve is made using recycled neoprene offcuts, reducing waste!
