As coordinators for the WOCN Wound Treatment Associate (WTA) Course, we have > 97% pass rate for 500+ attendees over the previous 7 years – this course can be accomplished on-site or on-line (online course includes a one day face to face session for practical skill assessment and evaluation). Attendees are provided 24 CEU’s upon successful completion.QUALITY IMPROVEMENT:We assist with improving your Wound, Ostomy and Continence Management through process and policy evaluation and development, medical record audits with plans of action, strategies to improve documentation, supply formulary development, clinical pathway development and education plansCONSULTATION:We provide on-line and/or telephonic consultation for specific wound and ostomy patient situations and concerns, thus assuring access to Best Practice treatment plans for your patients with wounds or ostomies. Consultation includes evidence based recommendations which empowers your clinician to contact the physician/provider for appropriate orders for individual patient care

An accomplished Health Care Professional with 25 years as a Certified Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse, Ms. Ritter has accumulated a broad range of experience as a hospital-based clinician, a home health clinician, and as a corporate based Clinical Practice Specialist. A recognized leader with excellent personnel and team building skills, she utilizes this ability to build positive relationships with people in both clinical and non-clinical settings. Ms. Ritter possesses an extensive knowledge of WOCN Society best practices relating to in-patient and home based wound management and uses this knowledge to develop strategies necessary to ensure the highest possible patient outcomes while maintaining clinical and regulatory compliance. An effective educator with shared responsibility for the development and corporate wide implementation of specialty programs targeted to a multi-disciplinary staff. Ms. Ritter has presented at the state and national levels and her work related to the Impact of the Wound Treatment Associate Program on nationwide clinical outcomes has been published in professional journals. As Co-Founders of RitKen and Associates, Ms. Ritter and her business partner have coordinated the WOCN Society sponsored Wound Treatment Associate Program for over 500 clinicians across the nation. As consultants, RitKen and Associates has a record of success in survey preparation and survey deficiency mitigation in the home care, long term and acute care settings.
