   The Innocent Justice Foundation supports the heroes in our communities who are doing the brave and hard work of protecting us. These heroes are often profoundly affected by their exposure to trauma and pay an emotional cost for their service. We help them mitigate the vicarious trauma they endure.The Innocent Justice Foundation has partnered with the Department of Justice’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Commanders, and leading mental health experts in the child sexual exploitation and abuse field to develop and provide one of the first comprehensive and foundational training programs in the United States to address the problem of vicarious trauma and stress. SHIFT – Supporting Heroes In mental health Foundational Training - has been providing mental health and wellness support to ICAC Task Force Teams and their affiliates across the country since 2009.As a SHIFT Instructor with the Innocent Justice Foundation I am:• developing and modifying wellness support curriculum provided to members of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Forces and working investigations involving the sexual exploitation of children;• presenting SHIFT training to agencies across the United States in the form of workshops and conference blocks;• and participating in webinars, social media live broadcasts, and podcasts in an effort to educate and raise awareness of the challenges of working in the anti-child exploitation arena.
