ABOUT DEBBE HIRATA
Debbe Hirata is a 10-time Voice Arts Awards Winner® of international distinction. She’s known for her outstanding performances in Movie Narration & Trailers, National TV & Radio Ad-campaigns, National TV & Radio Promo campaigns, TV animation, Film ADR, Film Dubbing and Video Games. She is also an experienced on-camera spokesperson. She was honored to receive the 2026 Legacy Award from The Society of Voice Arts and Sciences™. In addition to acting, Debbe honed her production and business acumen in broadcasting at NBC, ABC, CBS and PBS affiliates, in advertising as a Writer/Producer/Creative Director and in sales as a Senior Sales Executive for Xerox Corporation. Debbe’s commitment to providing high-quality educational access to diverse, under-served communities led her to found Seattle’s Explorer West Middle School, which celebrates its 28th Anniversary this year, 2025. As Founder & Chairman of the Board, her fundraising expertise guaranteed financial assistance to families in need which ensured that inclusion and diversity were founding principles that would be supported and continue as the school grew. While Debbe continues her full-time profession as a voice actor, she is excited to bring her business acumen, educational leadership skills and humanitarian outreach efforts to her new position as a Member of the Board of Directors for The Society of Voice Arts and Sciences™.
