About Debasmita Datta
Goal: to bridge the gap between academia & industry of geosciences in India.Why geoscience? Well I am a Geoscience enthusiastic since my mid school after reading the legendary Sci-fi book \'Journey to the centre of the Earth\' by Jules Verne.My area of interest - Sequence Stratigraphy, Carbon Sequestration, Secondary Carbonate, Basin analysis, Porous media, Drone & Data.I completed my Master\'s in Applied Geology from IIT Roorkee \'20. My specialization was in Sedimentology. During my master\'s I joined Germany University of technology Oman as a research intern. Currently I\'m a PhD research scholar in Earth Science dept, IIT Gandhinagar. I’m interested in linking both academic & industrial aspects as I believe R&D is the basis of any major discoveries. Currently working on project related to ‘CCS (Carbon capture and storage)in Deccan Basalt’ with the motivation of creating storage portfolio of reservoir. Software skills: geomodeling using vrgs, openmind, petrelGeochemical Modeling: phreeqc.Ping me for relevant info/collaboration.
