Sigma Aldrich & Merck: Job responsibilities include leading a) the kilo laboratory & catalogue production and custom manufacturing scale-up lab of 60 research scientists in multipurpose labs at Bangalore and b) Flow Lab, which is involved in converting hazardous batch processes into Continuous Flow processes and quick scale up for the catalogue. Process R&D of new processes, and products to be introduced to catalogue. Process optimization; piloting products through the product development stages of important internal as well as external pharma and intermediates. Budgeting and capex for the Team. Lead the department’s process reengineering and Kaizen initiatives. Budgeting and control of expenses and delivering on financial targets for 3 years for the company.
