ABOUT DEBARATI GHOSH

Debarati has over 20 years of experience with a passion for work that creates a positive social impact. She is currently on the senior management team at the Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) and is the Director of Projects and Strategy for the international program at CEPR.She is known for her ability to think strategically, manage effectively and inclusively, and grasp complex material- From brainstorming with teams, to bringing together key people in different fields to advise and collaborate on work, Debarati applies her aptitude to strategically and creatively define priorities and deliverables which leads to excellent results- Debarati is highly skilled in developing management tools that work, from setting up a team’s workflow process to laying down the tracks for crucial organization-wide systems- Grappling with complicated content has been a mainstay of all the positions Debarati has held. She enjoys learning new material and diving deeper into areas that are central to social impact such as the effects of globalization, income inequality, and socioeconomic immobility. Authentically connecting with people has always been a central aspect of her personality, and this, along with training in management skills, has led to her successfully working with others. Her colleagues have often commented that they enjoy working with her and that she knows how to get things done well with an engaging and proactive approach.
