ABOUT DEBANGANA BARUAH

I firmly believe in the power of collaboration, exemplified by my commitment to the collective \"We.\" As a seasoned social activist, I\'ve dedicated myself to serving disadvantaged populations both at the individual and community levels, adept at fostering community support. With a knack for leadership, I excel in rallying teams to achieve objectives even within tight deadlines. My leadership journey includes serving as President of the Student\'s Union at Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi (2014-15), and previously as Vice President (2013-14). My experiences span various impactful organizations such as ActionAid India, Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan, Uday Bharat, and engagement in correctional settings like Tihar Prisons. Presently, I helm the HR department while concurrently pursuing an MBA from Liverpool John Moores University and a PG Diploma in Management from IMT Ghaziabad. I am honored to have received the Rashtriya Ashoka Samman and an Honorary Doctorate in Social Work, recognizing my contributions. Additionally, as a national member of the World Human Rights Protection Commission, I continue to advocate for social justice on a global scale. My commitment to social entrepreneurship was further acknowledged when I was awarded the prestigious title of Best Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2023 at the Women\'s Conclave organized by The Crazy Tales. I am eager to continue leveraging my skills and experiences to drive positive change and empower communities worldwide.
