ABOUT DEBAL SAHA
I am a Software Developer with extensive experience aviation and simulation industry. I have been part of both greenfield and brownfield projects. From writing MATLAB scripts for software-in-loop platforms to developing C++ libraries wrapping FORTRAN code for simulating aircraft autopilot and flight-control systems, I was fortunate to contribute to projects that were not only different in their scope/complexity but also targeted different Operating-Systems/architectures. I have been involved in scaling or re-designing various legacy systems helping customers in porting their large (read 1 million lines of code) legacy code bases (primarily in Java, Fortran) to modern C++. For my current role, I am responsible for improving capabilities of an aviation software suit to read and write aeronautical data, create air space geometries on terrain maps, use visualization tools for analysis and perform import/export of data from both local and remote data-sources.
