ABOUT DEBAKREETA GHOSH
I am currently pursuing my PhD degree from the Human Genetics Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. The major goal of my research work is to unravel the epigenetic roles of several non-coding RNA (ncRNA) molecules in psoriasis pathogenesis. I am proficient at patient sample handling, nucleic acid and protein extractions, both mammalian and bacterial cell culture, and other methods such as PCR, qRT-PCR, cloning, Northern and Western blotting, immunoassays, chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) etc. which I regularly use for my research.I can design gene expression primers, short hairpin RNA, and CRISPR guide RNA constructs. I have rigorously handled Primer3, Vector-builder, CHOPCHOP like online tools for these purposes. I am also familiar with the different genome browsers, including UCSC, Ensembl, and NCBI.I published a review article in 2023, in my first authorship, that describes the interplay of the ncRNAs in psoriasis pathogenesis.I am inquisitive, hardworking and eager to provide my expertise whenever I get opportunities.
